The Gujuli Waterfall is an oasis of peace amidst nature. The Gujuli Waterfall is one of the most-visited sites in the province of Araba/Álava. The waterfall itself is more than 100-metres high, and can be found in the municipality of Urkabustaiz.
Gujuli is located in an exceptional natural environment surrounded by oak and beechwood forests. The water flowing through the Oiardo river and over the falls is crystalline in colour and offers a relaxing soundscape. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the tranquillity of nature. You can walk around the waterfall, have a picnic, or simply sit and contemplate this spectacle of nature.
The Gujuli Waterfall is located in the municipality of Urkabustaiz, in the province of Araba/Álava. You can reach the waterfall by car, bus or train.
By car: The route by car is the easiest and quickest. You can take the N-240 road and follow the signs to the village of Gujuli. Once in the village, there is a free car park at the entrance.
By bus: There are regular bus lines connecting Vitoria-Gasteiz with the village of Gujuli. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in the village, it is a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the waterfall.
By train: Urkabustaiz train station is on the Vitoria-Bilbao line. The journey takes about 45 minutes. From the station, you have to take a bus or walk for some 30 minutes to the village of Gujuli.
The route on foot: If you want to enjoy nature, you can follow the route on foot from the village of Gujuli. The route is easy and takes about 20 minutes. The path is well signposted and runs along a track that borders the river Oiardo.
