Description
Talai Berri Winery in Zarautz organises guided visits specifically designed for families. The tour explains how txakoli — the traditional Basque white wine — is made, with a focus on the importance of local primary production and the land behind the bottle. Afterwards, on the terrace overlooking the winery's 12 hectares of vineyards, visitors enjoy a tasting that combines Talai Berri txakoli with a selection of Eusko Label products: Ibarra peppers, Idiazabal PDO cheese, northern tuna and Basatxerri chorizo. To round off the experience, adults can taste the TTANTTA line of vinegars made from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape variety, while younger visitors receive grape juice from the winery itself and a copy of the Tumatxa comic. This activity works as a gastronomic and family-friendly stop along the Gipuzkoan coast, connecting the vineyard landscape with some of the most characteristic products and flavours of the Basque Country.
