Description
The Leitzaran Via Ferrata, in Andoain, is a guided and interpretive activity that offers a different way to discover the Leitzaran valley: at height, through its natural surroundings, local features and legends. The activity starts at the Leitzaran Visitor Centre, where the guide introduces the valley and each participant is equipped with the technical gear included in the activity. The route begins with a training area and continues with a zip line of around 70 metres in length and 16 metres in height to cross the river. The via ferrata then covers 220 metres across five vertical walls with iron rungs, ladders and rocks, with four interpretation stops along the way. The route ends at a forest track from where participants return to the Visitor Centre. This is an easy-level via ferrata, suitable for first-timers. A minimum height of 140 cm and a maximum weight of 120 kg are required, along with suitable clothing and footwear for uneven terrain.
