Discover Villa Lucía Wine Theme Museum in Laguardia

The Villa Lucía Museum is located in Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, and takes visitors through the full story of Rioja wine using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. The route covers the entire life cycle of the vine—soil types, grape varieties, harvesting, fermentation, cooperage, and bottling—with tactile stations featuring real objects labelled in braille, a virtual tasting of aromas, flavours and colours, and recreated spaces including a fermentation vat, a medieval-style wine cellar, and a small 'wine cemetery' holding bottles over fifty years old. The visit ends with the 4D sensory experience 'En tierra de sueños' (In the Land of Dreams), presented as the world's first fully universally accessible 4D audiovisual production in Spanish. As part of a route through Rioja Alavesa, Villa Lucía offers more than a winery visit: it provides the cultural and sensory context to appreciate the vineyards and cellars of the surrounding area.
